Cooperative Press sock/mitt club

CP is excited to announce our first project club! We have so many talented authors, designers and other contributors that we thought it would be fun to work together on a joint project that could showcase the skills of multiple authors at once. And so we’ve decided to team up for a sock and mitt club, with a special bonus pattern for the large club size!

Here’s what you’ll receive:

BASIC PACKAGE: (8 hand-dyed skeins, 8 patterns, limited edition custom project bag, small gifts and bonuses)

BONUS PACKAGE: (16 hand-dyed skeins, 9 patterns, limited edition custom project bag, small gifts and bonuses)

Each club shipment month you’ll receive your yarn and 2 patterns: one sock, and one mitt pattern based on that sock. The last shipment for the large club option will also contain a colorwork hat pattern designed to use up your scraps from the previous patterns. The basic package will provide enough yarn for the sock patterns alone; the bonus-size package will provide enough yarn for both socks AND the mitt patterns that go with them, not to mention leftovers for the bonus hat pattern.

Your pattern designers will be…

…and your yarn dyer will be Kim from Indigodragonfly!

We will be accepting club signups until the end of April to allow sufficient time to order yarn/etc. If all goes well, we’d love to do a shawl club next — or tell us what interests you, knitting-wise!

  1. I love, love, LOVE this idea! So sad that I missed the deadline for socks/mitts. While I am lukewarm on shawls (I never seem to wear them, although I like making them), I know I will sign up if you offer the club : ) I also think it would be really cool to pick a theme and have small project that is different for each shipment (i.e. make the theme something like “Victorian inspired” or “autumn leaves” and have patterns for things such as a shawl, fingerless mitts, socks, and a hat). It would be great to see how each designer interprets the theme!

  2. I just found this and I really hope there is one for 2013! I agree with Kath above, the Basic and Bonus is genious.
