California Revival Knits is live!

What does that mean? It means the digital version is now available and has been sent out to everyone who preordered it, so they can start casting on their favorite projects while we get the files over to the printer!

Fortunately, since we print in the US and not overseas, the print turnaround time is a lot faster! But for that immediate gratification, you really can’t beat digital, can you?

Congrats, Stephannie! Visit her blog and/or the CP group on Ravelry and tell her what you love about the book!

CP on the road!

Heading to Rhinebeck this weekend for the Sheep and Wool Festival? Cooperative Press will be vending in building C, #37. Next weekend, find us at Stitches East in the Bijou Basin Ranch booth, number 1007-1009 — Alasdair Post-Quinn will be signing copies of Extreme Double Knitting (overnighted fresh from the printer!) and Shannon will be teaching.

At Rhinebeck, meet our authors Anna Dalvi, Kate Atherley, Heather Ordover, Andi Smith, Alasdair Post-Quinn, Stephannie Tallent and Shannon Okey! There will be having signings in the booth all weekend long, as well as copies of Miriam Felton’s book Twist & Knit. We’ll also be teaming up with Bijou Basin Ranch for another iPad giveaway at both shows.

Accordingly, print copies of books ordered over the next week will not ship until the week of the 24th. Thank you for your patience and for your support of small companies like Cooperative Press (trust us, we wish we had a whole shipping department, but it’s just Shannon and a Dymo postage printer!). All copies of Extreme Double Knitting should be here the day we get back, so if you preordered, you’ll have your hard copy very soon!

Sneak preview: California Revival Knits

When I left Vogue Knitting Live on Sunday, I headed down the coast to help out at the photoshoot for an upcoming Cooperative Press book by Stephannie Tallent of knits inspired by California Revival style. The photos, by Kathy Cadigan (who is just plain delightful, and a brilliant photographer to boot), are stunning. Steph models a few things, and then we roped friend-of-CP Kristi Porter into some modeling, too.

The peacock mitts!

Just wait til you see the other shots…

Steph models her spectacular sweater…cable-y twisted stitchy goodness.

You’ll be able to meet Stephannie and a host of other CP authors in our booth at Rhinebeck in a few weeks!
